Creatively incorporating video into websites

Creatively incorporating video into websites

As video is being used more and more in websites, creatives and developers are trying to find more ways to creatively implement them into websites.

We work with a fantastic creative agency Green Chameleon – this Bristol based agency are constantly looking at pushing creativity into their awesome websites.

We recently worked with them on a project for one of their clients Bramley & Gage, a drinks manufacturer based in Bristol that specialises in fruit liqueurs and the now very popular 6 O’Clock Gin.

We shot a video for 6 O’Clock Gin and the fruit liqueurs, it was then that we needed to look at how we could creatively implement them into their site.

Green Chameleon’s Creative Director Tom Anderson explained that they wanted to fade between the two videos as the user moves the cursor from left to right on the homepage.

See the video below:

This is a great example of how you can use video in a creative manner rather than just simply placing it on your website.

There are so many ways in which video can bring your website to life as well as making the experience more engaging for the visitor.

The New Fruit team would love to have a chat with you about how we could help you create some effective video content, so drop us a line.

Video and SEO

Video and SEO

We recently worked in conjunction with an awesome SEO company based out of Nottingham – Exposure Ninja and they are making serious waves in the world of SEO and online marketing.

These guys are the experts on SEO and online marketing and are lead by head ninja Tim Kitchen who is also the number 1 best selling author on the subject!

We travelled around England from the South of the country to the North filming client testimonials for them and all of the companies we spoke to could not have spoken more highly about them.

On this journey we also produced a number of short company videos for some of their clients and it is these I want to discuss in this blog.

Video is an incredible way for businesses to increase their online visibility, it also brings a website to life and engages with visitors to that site on a much higher level than text.

We were shooting two of these videos a day, working from a set structure of questions that I would customise once I had met the business owner face to face.

The beauty of these videos is that they are simple, they get your message out there and they only take half a working day.

A lot of businesses over pay for videos as the film production company they hire over complicate and therefore over charge.

Here at New Fruit we offer a completely free video consultation – we will tell you how to use video for your specific business and tell you why!

I really do believe that all businesses can benefit from using video in their online marketing campaigns – please feel free to drop me an e-mail and we can start discussing how it could help you.

Sassi Holford – The Bride Decides BTS

Earlier this year we were asked to produce a short film to show celebrated British designer Sassi Holfords latest range – “The Bride Decides”.

We headed down to Salisbury with a hand picked crew and pulled up to our location for the day, Trafalgar Park.

We shot the film on two Sony FS700 and utilised our new toy the DJI Ronin, having seamless steady shots adds an extra level of production value and we were incredibly pleased with the results.

New website launched!

New website launched!

A few months ago New Fruit moved into a new office with Bristol based design agency Green Chameleon and they agreed to take on our re-brand challenge!

This gave us a great opportunity to overview all the work on our new logo, brand marks and website from start to finish.

A month later we are excited too announce the launch of our new website containing all of our new branding!

We wanted an open faced clean looking website that would show our work in the best possible light and be as easy to navigate as possible.

Green Chameleon’s design director Nathan Riley created our new logo from scratch, we wanted something eye catching but simple. He also put together a small brand mark that will be used within our website.

We hope you like our new look as much as we do, please feel free to get in touch and we can discuss your filming needs!
